Play Areas

Great Ashby has the benefit of a number of play areas as well as the District Park, which can be accessed by road via Serpentine Close.

Since April 2018, the Great Ashby Community Council has taken over the responsibility of the play areas in Cleveland Way, The Chilterns and Merrick Close. The rest of the play areas remain the responsibility of North Herts District Council.

The Community Council’s responsibility extends to paying for the regular maintenance and inspection of the play areas and replacement of broken or damaged equipment (dependent on costs).
