Anne Lowe

I have lived in Great Ashby since 2002 and until lockdown used the house like a hotel. The slowdown in life enabled me to take note of my surroundings and fully appreciate the benefits that living in Great Ashby brings. The three hyperactive hounds that I live with (that many of Great Ashby’s residents will know) gets me out into the community and the new found appreciation that I had for my home and the people I met encouraged me to seek ways to give back. Cue me joining the GACC in January 2021.

As for the skills that I bring to the Council… I’ve made a very successful career in Financial Services and enjoy an excellent reputation within my specialism precisely because I’m honest and challenge the status quo. I’m infamous among my peers for being difficult and having a low tolerance for idiots but am generally fair and reasonable and people enjoy working with me (unless they’re idiots). I should also say that I’m very good at my job too. As a renowned rebel in every aspect of life I’d like to introduce alternative ideas to Great Ashby and influence its culture to ensure that we are an inclusive forward thinking, multicultural and green community.
