Play areas

Great Ashby has the benefit of a number of play areas as well as the District Park accessed by road via Serpentine Close.

Since April 2018, the Community Council has taken over the responsibility of the play areas in Cleveland Way, The Chilterns and Merrick Close. The rest of the play areas remain the responsibility of Norh Herts District Council.

The Community Council's responsibility extends to paying for the regular maintenance and inspection of the play areas and replacement of broken or damaged equipment (dependent on costs).

The Community Council is not in a position to address or manage any anti-social behaviour that might take place at the play areas and advise any such behaviours if witnessed to be reported to the police.
