Great Ashby Allotments & Village Green

The Community Council have been undertaking a feasibility study to potentially offer allotments and a village green to residents of Great Ashby. A proposal has been brought to the Community Council to transform ‘Wilkins Urn’ - 4 acres of currently undeveloped land - into Allotments and a Great Ashby Village Green.

An Allotment and Village Green Working group has been reviewing all current information and creating a project plan.  The Communty Council asked Groundworks to create a design for the area. The draft design  is complete however the costs to progress are considerable and significant funds will need to be found befote anything can go ahead.

The location of the allotments may also be affected by future housing development and the project has temporarily been put on hold.

If you would like to register your interest in becoming an allotment holder or raise any concerns about this project please contact the Council Clerk on clerk@greatashbycouncil.org.uk
